Hello St. Anselm sports parents!
We are looking forward to another exciting year of CYO and instructional sports. Please see below for cheer camp information, fall sports registration links, and fall sports parent meeting information.
CYO Cheer Camp Information:
Cheer camp for girls entering grades K-8 is hosted by the CYO and takes place at St. Anselm. Camp begins on Tuesday, August 6th at 9AM. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early each day to check in and out belongings away.
Cheerleaders should wear white cheer shoes or any clean gym shoes as well as the following outfits:
- Tuesday:
- any red St. Anselm t-shirt with black shorts and any red/black/white bow
- Wednesday:
- black St. Anselm gym uniform t-shirt with black shorts and any red/black/white bow
- Thursday:
- CYO camp t-shirt and black shorts
On Thursday, August 8 (final day), there will be a performance for all parents/ families/friends. We encourage everyone to come watch!

The following sports will be offered at St. Anselm this fall:
- Cross Country
- Co-ed teams grades 4-6 and 7/8
- Practices will be held in the evenings from August-October

A parent meeting for any student/athletes planning to participate in Cross Country and/or Cheerleading will be held on Wednesday, August 7 at 6:30pm in the St. Anselm Cafeteria. Please enter through door 5 near the playground.
Basketball open gym for grades 1-8 will begin later in August with dates TBD.
Information for fall instructional sports for grades 1-3 will be sent after the start of the school year.
The following sports will be offered to play with our Family of Parishes this fall:
- Football
- Played at Divine Child
- co-ed grades 3/4, 5/6, and 7/8
- Volleyball
- Played at Divine Child
- Girls grades 4-6 and 7/8
- Soccer
- Played at Divine Child
- Boys grades 4-6 and 7/8
- Girls grades 4-6 and 7/8

If your child will be participating in any CYO sports for the upcoming school year, they will need a MHSAA physical on file with the main office prior to participation.
