Dear Saint Anselm Families,
I recognize that this is a time of uncertainty for many throughout the Archdiocese of Detroit. With limited information available, it is understandable that families may feel anxious about the future of our parishes, churches, and Catholic schools.
Today, the Archdiocese is releasing two revised models for each region outlining potential pastorate arrangements and identifying churches that may or may not have weekend Masses. I understand that this news may raise additional questions and concerns.
I want to reassure you that these models address parish arrangements, not changes to the schools within those regions. Following a conversation with the Archdiocese’s Department of Catholic Schools, I can share that the Department is very pleased with the direction Saint Anselm is taking, the progress our students are making, and the trajectory of our test scores. They believe our future is bright.
Our focus remains on providing an excellent Catholic education, strengthening our students’ faith, and continuing to build the close-knit school community that makes Saint Anselm special.
If you have questions or concerns about the reorganization and any potential impact on our school, please feel free to schedule a meeting or phone conversation with me. I will do my best to address your questions and provide clarity.
Thank you for your continued prayers, trust, and support. Please join me in praying for our Archdiocese and all those entrusted with making these important decisions.
Brian Owens
Principal
